RB Boatbuilding Ltd is a traditional business based at Bristol’s historic Underfall Yard.
The company is dedicated to the re-creation and restoration of classic, 19th century, wooden working boats; notably the fast and seaworthy Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter, widely considered to be among the best sailing boats ever built.
From the fine clinker (lapstrake) dinghy or Cornish Pilot Gig, to the powerfully built Pilot Cutter We believe that deserving historic vessels should not be lost to history, to only exist on paper among museum archives. Reviving these exceptional vessels allows us to experience the thrill of sailing and owning a truly classic boat.
