Examples of the boats we build
Creating beautiful, bespoke, solidly built wooden sailing boats.
We can build replicas or new designs of quality and elegance, fast boats with great sea keeping ability, and competitively priced. Our passion is to build boats to cross oceans in ( hence our logo).
We will create a beautiful and comfortable interior to while away the time at anchor, a million miles from the office; with a good book in one hand, a single malt in the other, and your toes gently warming by the stove.

Clinker dinghy.
12ft West country clinker work boat.
This is typical of a small Portloe fishing / workboat. We chose to build this boat because of her very beautiful lines, the gentle sheer, deep keel and wine glass transom. She would be a very similar boat to the “Swallow” in the book “Swallows & Amazons”.
Faering.
“Hlatr” a 16 ft Faering (Typical Norwegian work boat) built on lines drawn up by Ian Oughtred.
Built of Larch on Oak, this fine lined 16ft boat, has an easily driven hull and surprising load capacity which will comfortable carry 5 adults or “Three men in a boat” plus enough equipment & provisions for a holiday up the Thames. The current owner has grander plans in mind which include a circumnavigation of Bristol via the south coast of England!
Thames skiff.
Dimensions:
22ft Edwardian two man rowing skiff
This beautiful boat was bought to us for restoration, but turned into a rebuild to last (we hope) another hundred years.
The Thames skiff became very popular in the late 19th, and early 20th centuries. Many thousands where built for private buyers and boat hire companies. It was this type of boat that starred in Jerome k. Jerome’s book ‘Three men in a boat’.
